Information on Funding
There are a number of websites that provide information on funding opportunities, some of which are free and some of which require a subscription. We would always encourage small grassroots groups to contact their local council for voluntary services first for funding advice.

Your Square Mile Mutual

The Your Square Mile mutual is the first of its kind; a mutual created by citizens for citizens, open to everyone aged 16 or over in the UK.  Membership costs £10.00 and members have benefits including £1m of Public Liability Insurance and £25,000 of Personal Accident Insurance to cover any kind of volunteering, a free legal services helpline and  20% off printing to help you promote local activity in your community.  The Your Square Mile Mutual is also negotiating new deals including faster and more affordable CRB checks especially for smaller, local charities, a loyalty card for discounts at local shops in partnership with the Big Issue and cheaper street party insurance for the 2012 Jubilee and Olympics parties.
