“Small Change”
You can apply for £500 – £3,000 maximum, for projects lasting up to one year
Projects must be:
- Based in Birmingham or the Black Country (Wolverhampton, Dudley, West Bromwich, Walsall, Smethwick and Sandwell);
- Not reliant on further external funding once the grant is finished;
- Open to including those from a disadvantaged or deprived community.
Organisations applying to Small Change must have:
- Formally constituted and have been operating for at least six months;
- In most cases, an income of £10,000 or less;
- A minimum of three members on the governing body;
- A bank account in the name of the organisation.

Although Small Change is mainly aimed at small organisations, we will consider applications from larger organisations wishing to either set up a small project that will become self-sustaining or to support a smaller unconstituted group in setting up its own project. If you are an organisation with an income over £10,000, we recommend contacting us for advice before submitting an application.
Grassroots
You can only apply for grassroots funding under this programme if your project is based in Birmingham or the Black Country (Wolverhampton, Dudley, West Bromwich, Smethwick or Sandwell).
