How we work

At the Barrow Cadbury Trust we aim, not just to give grants, but also to build partnerships with groups and organisations. We have an outreach strategy where we actively look for groups demonstrating good practice and who can show what really works on the ground.

Organisations must fall within our objectives of promoting a fair, equal, peaceful and democratic society, as well as meeting the criteria within one or more of our three programme areas.

The Trust operates independently and is not bound by the same constraints as local authority and government programmes. This allows us to be flexible to the needs of projects and reduces the burdens of administration placed upon them.
